Article 1. Introductory Provisions
1.1 These General Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”) govern the mutual rights and obligations between Venuvia s. r. o., registered office at Lermontovova 911/3, 811 05 Bratislava, Staré Mesto district, Company ID (IČO): 57 305 501, Tax ID (DIČ): 2122688799, registered in the Commercial Register of the Municipal Court Bratislava III, Section: Sro, Insert No. 194638/B (the “Operator” or “Meetnity”), and any person using the Meetnity online platform available at www.meetnity.com (the “Platform”), regardless of whether they act as a Customer, an Event Agency or a Venue Owner (together, “Users”).
1.2 Meetnity is an online platform that facilitates the initial contact between a person looking for a venue to hold a social, corporate or other event and a person offering such a venue for rent. Meetnity is not the owner, operator or tenant of any of the venues offered, does not provide accommodation, catering, transport or other related services, and is not a party to any rental arrangement between a Customer and a Venue Owner. Meetnity’s business consists exclusively in facilitating Inquiries through the Platform, for a fee in accordance with Article 5 of these Terms.
1.3 By registering on the Platform, creating an Account or otherwise using the Platform (in particular by sending an Inquiry or publishing a Venue profile), the User confirms that they have read these Terms, understood them in full and agree to them. A User who does not agree with the Terms is not entitled to use the Platform.
1.4 The Privacy and Cookie Policy, available at www.meetnity.com/ochrana-osobnych-udajov, which governs the processing of Users’ personal data and the use of cookies and similar technologies on the Platform, forms an integral part of the contractual relationship between the User and Meetnity.
1.5 Meetnity may amend these Terms unilaterally, in particular as a result of changes in legislation, in the technical operation of the Platform or in its business model. Users will be notified of an upcoming change by email and by a notice on the Platform at least 15 days before the change takes effect. A User who does not agree with the change may close their Account before it takes effect; by continuing to use the Platform after the change takes effect, the User agrees to it.
1.6 Meetnity’s contact details for communication with Users, including the exercise of rights: email help@meetnity.com, tel.: +421 949 255 757.
Article 2. Definitions
For the purposes of these Terms, the following terms have the following meanings:
Platform: the website www.meetnity.com and related applications operated by Meetnity, through which the Services are provided.
User: any registered person using the Platform, whether as a Customer, an Event Agency or a Venue Owner.
Customer: a natural person who creates an Inquiry through the Platform to rent a Venue for the purpose of holding a private or corporate event.
Event Agency: a Customer who declares upon registration that they use the Platform in the course of their business when organizing events for their clients, and whose status has been verified and approved by Meetnity (Article 8).
Venue Owner: a natural or legal person, acting as a business, who offers a Venue for rent through the Platform.
Venue: a space, building, room or other place that a Venue Owner offers for rent through their profile on the Platform.
Inquiry: a non-binding message created by a Customer through the Platform with the aim of obtaining an offer to rent one Venue; once created, the Inquiry is delivered to the selected Venue for a decision. A Customer who wishes to contact several Venues creates a separate Inquiry for each of them. An Inquiry may have the following statuses: created, delivered, awaiting decision, accepted, declined, cancelled, expired, disputed.
Credit: a prepaid monetary unit of a Venue Owner held in their Account, which is used up when an Inquiry is accepted in accordance with the Price List.
Price List: the document forming Annex No. 1 to these Terms, containing the current prices of Credit packages, prices for individual Inquiry categories, free Inquiry limits, prices of micro-packages and prices of Boost. The Price List is available for download on the Platform. A change to the Price List is not a change to the Terms. A change to the Price List affecting a Venue Owner or an Event Agency (in particular an increase in the price for accepting an Inquiry or a reduction of the free Inquiry limit) takes effect no earlier than 15 days after its publication on the Platform; this period does not need to be observed for changes in their favour (in particular a price reduction, a benefit or a temporary marketing promotion under Article 5.11) or where required by special legislation. A change to the Price List does not affect Credit credited before it takes effect.
Account: a user account created by registering on the Platform.
Boost (Top Listing): a paid add-on service providing preferential display of a Venue profile in search results.
GoPay: GoPay s.r.o., the payment gateway provider through which payments on the Platform are made.
Article 3. Registration and User Account
3.1 Only a natural person over 18 years of age, or a person authorized to act on behalf of a legal entity or a sole trader, may register on the Platform and create an Account. The User must provide true, accurate and up-to-date information upon registration and keep it up to date for as long as the Account exists.
3.2 Customer registration. Upon registration, the Customer provides their first name, surname, email address and phone number and chooses a password. Registration is considered complete only after (i) the email address has been confirmed via a verification link sent to the email provided and (ii) the phone number has been verified with a one-time verification code (OTP) delivered by SMS through the SMS verification service provider BulkGate (BulkGate s.r.o.). Until both verifications are complete, the registration is not valid and the Customer is not entitled to send an Inquiry or use features requiring login.
3.3 Venue Owner registration. In addition to the information under Article 3.2, the Venue Owner provides their business name, Company ID (IČO), registered office (place of business) and contact person upon registration. They add their billing details in the Account settings no later than before the first Credit top-up. Every Venue added to the Platform is subject to approval by Meetnity before it is published; Meetnity will endeavour to approve or reject it within 48 hours of it being added. Expiry of this period without a decision does not entitle the Venue Owner to compensation for damage or any other performance from Meetnity.
3.4 Event Agency status. A Customer may apply for Event Agency status during registration by ticking the relevant box and providing the company’s business name, Company ID (IČO), Tax ID (DIČ) (if assigned) and registered office, or at any later time while their Account exists by submitting a request in the Account settings with the same information; there is no need to create a new Account or register again for this purpose. Meetnity will usually decide on the request within 48 hours of its submission. If the request is rejected, the Customer may apply for the status again. Until the request is decided and if it is rejected, the Customer is subject to the terms for regular Customers under Article 7. Once the request is approved, the Customer obtains the benefits under Article 8 of these Terms.
3.5 The User must protect the login details to their Account and is responsible for all activity carried out through their Account. If unauthorized access is suspected, the User must inform Meetnity without delay at help@meetnity.com.
3.6 Meetnity may suspend or close a User’s Account if the User: (a) has provided false or misleading information, (b) has repeatedly or seriously breached these Terms, (c) acts in a way that harms or may harm Meetnity, other Users or third parties, or (d) where so provided by special legislation. The User will be informed of the closure or suspension of the Account together with the reason, unless this is prevented by law or by the interest in detecting or preventing unlawful conduct.
3.7 The User may close their Account at any time, either directly in the Account settings after logging in (account deletion feature) or by sending a request to help@meetnity.com. Provisions of these Terms which by their nature so require (in particular liability for damage, data protection to the extent of statutory archiving, and confidentiality) remain in force after the Account is closed. Closing the Account does not affect a Venue rental agreement concluded under Article 6.6 before the Account was closed, nor the obligation of Meetnity and the User concerned to handle Inquiries accepted and complaints filed before the Account was closed.
3.8 Venue Owners and Event Agencies undertake not to circumvent payment of Credit for an Inquiry facilitated through the Platform, in particular not to induce the other party to an Inquiry to enter into a direct agreement outside the Platform in order to avoid paying Credit for an Inquiry delivered to them through the Platform. Circumventing payment of Credit includes in particular a demonstrable invitation to the other party to an Inquiry to agree on terms outside the Platform for this purpose, as evidenced in particular by the content of communication in the internal chat, by confirmation from the other party to the Inquiry, or by a repeated pattern of expired or declined Inquiries after which the event demonstrably took place at the Venue concerned.
Upon the first detected breach of this obligation, Meetnity will notify the Venue Owner or Event Agency in breach in writing and may suspend their profile under the procedure in Article 3.6. In the event of a repeated breach, Meetnity may require the Venue Owner or Event Agency in breach to pay a contractual penalty equal to ten times the price of an Inquiry in the relevant category under the current Price List for each individual breach, up to a maximum of EUR 1,000 per User per calendar year. Payment of the contractual penalty does not affect Meetnity’s right to compensation for damage exceeding the penalty. This paragraph does not apply to a Customer who is a consumer.
3.9 Venue Owners and Event Agencies act towards Meetnity as business users within the meaning of Regulation (EU) 2019/1150 of the European Parliament and of the Council (the “P2B Regulation”). If a decision under Article 3.6 concerns a Venue Owner or an Event Agency, Meetnity will notify them in advance, on a durable medium (in particular by email), of the reasons for that decision: (a) in the case of complete closure of the Account, at least 30 days before it takes effect, and (b) in the case of suspension or other restriction of the Account, no later than the moment it takes effect. The period under point (a) does not apply in the case of a repeated breach of these Terms, compliance with a legal obligation of Meetnity, or an urgent reason consisting in the protection of Meetnity, other Users or third parties against fraudulent, harmful or otherwise unlawful conduct; in such a case the closure of the Account may take effect immediately. This provision does not affect Meetnity’s right to a contractual penalty or compensation for damage under Article 3.8.
Article 4. How the Platform Works: Inquiries and Their Life Cycle
4.1 A Customer may create an Inquiry only after completing registration and verification under Article 3.2, by filling in the basic details of the requested event (in particular the type of event, date and number of guests). An Inquiry cannot be sent without filling in the mandatory details.
4.2 Once sent, the Inquiry is made available to the selected Venue on the Platform, without the Customer’s contact details.
4.3 Each Inquiry is assigned to a category according to the number of guests; the category determines the amount of Credit required to accept it under the current Price List.
4.4 The Venue must decide on the Inquiry (accept it, decline it or suggest a different date) within 48 hours of its delivery. If the Venue does not decide within this period, the Inquiry automatically expires; no Credit is deducted from the Venue in connection with an expired Inquiry.
4.5 Upon acceptance of an Inquiry: (a) the amount corresponding to the Inquiry category under the Price List is deducted from the Venue’s Credit, (b) the Customer’s contact details are made available to the Venue for the purpose of mutual communication and agreeing on details, and (c) the Customer is notified of the acceptance. An Inquiry can only be accepted if the Venue has sufficient Credit in its Account; otherwise, the Platform will not allow the Inquiry to be accepted and will recommend that the Venue top up its Credit.
4.6 The Venue may decline an Inquiry free of charge within the period under Article 4.4, even without giving a reason.
4.7 Instead of accepting or declining, the Venue may suggest a different event date to the Customer. If the Customer accepts this suggestion, the Inquiry is automatically considered accepted, with the same legal and payment consequences under Article 4.5.
4.8 The conditions and procedure for disputing an Inquiry are governed by Article 9 of these Terms.
4.9 The Customer may cancel a sent Inquiry at any time until the relevant Venue accepts it under Article 4.5; once the Inquiry has been accepted by the Venue, it can no longer be cancelled. The content of a sent Inquiry cannot be changed; if the Customer needs to change the date or other details of the Inquiry, they may cancel the Inquiry and create a new one. A cancelled Inquiry, as well as an Inquiry that expires under Article 4.4 without the Venue showing interest in it, is returned to the Customer and does not count towards their used free limit or purchased package under Articles 5.6 to 5.8; no Credit is deducted from the Venue in connection with such an Inquiry.
4.10 If the requested event date stated in the Inquiry is earlier than the end of the decision period under Article 4.4, this period is shortened to the time remaining until the start of the event; the Platform will expressly notify the Venue of this when delivering such an Inquiry.
Article 5. Credit System and Payments
5.1 Credit is a prepaid unit used to pay the fee for the Services provided by Meetnity on the Platform. Credit is not electronic money or a means of payment within the meaning of special legislation and cannot be exchanged for cash, except under the procedure in Article 9 (Complaints) and Article 10 (Withdrawal from the Contract).
5.2 The Venue Owner tops up Credit in advance in the form of Credit packages under the current Price List. A Venue Owner’s Credit is not limited in time and does not expire.
5.3 When an Inquiry is accepted, the amount corresponding to the Inquiry category under the current Price List is automatically deducted from the Venue Owner’s Credit. An Inquiry cannot be accepted without sufficient Credit; in such a case the button for accepting the Inquiry is disabled and the Venue Owner is prompted to top up Credit.
5.4 Payment for topping up Credit (by the Venue Owner, as well as by the Customer or Event Agency) is made through the GoPay payment gateway (GoPay s.r.o.), by payment card, bank transfer within the GoPay payment interface or any other payment method supported by GoPay at the time. GoPay processes payment data in accordance with its own security standards (PCI DSS). Meetnity has no access to the payment card number or its sensitive data and is not responsible for the functionality, availability or any outages of the GoPay payment gateway.
5.5 After a successful Credit top-up, Meetnity issues a proof of payment (invoice), which it makes available in the Account of the person who made the payment.
5.6 The Customer may send the number of Inquiries stated in the current Price List free of charge within a recurring 30-day cycle. The cycle starts when the Customer sends their first Inquiry; the next cycle starts automatically when the previous cycle ends, even if no further Inquiry is sent. Unused free Inquiries do not carry over to the next cycle.
5.7 Within a 30-day cycle running in the same way, an Event Agency may send the number of Inquiries stated in the current Price List free of charge.
5.8 After using up the free limit under Article 5.6 or 5.7 respectively, the Customer or Event Agency may purchase additional Inquiries within the current cycle in the form of a paid package under the current Price List. Payment is likewise made through the GoPay payment gateway under Article 5.4.
5.9 Articles 5.1, 5.4 and 5.5 apply accordingly to the top-up and use of Inquiries by Customers and Event Agencies.
5.10 In the event of a successful Inquiry complaint under Article 9, the corresponding amount is automatically returned to the Venue Owner by crediting it back to their Credit in the Account. Credit is not refunded by transfer of funds to a bank account.
5.11 Meetnity may grant Users a discount on the price of Credit, Inquiries or Boost, or bonus Credit, through individual discount codes or general marketing campaigns. The conditions of a specific promotion (in particular its validity, scope and any non-combinability with other discounts) are determined and published by Meetnity. Discount codes and bonus Credit cannot be exchanged for cash or transferred to another person.
5.12 In addition to the overall free limit under Article 5.6, Meetnity may also set a partial limit on the number of free Inquiries that a Customer may send for one type of event within a cycle; the specific number is shown to the Customer on the Platform and stated in the current Price List.
5.13 If a Venue Owner closes their Account on their own initiative under Article 3.7 and has unused Credit in the Account at the time of closure, they may ask Meetnity to pay out its monetary value to the bank account specified in the request. Meetnity may deduct an administrative fee for processing the request in the amount set out in the current Price List from the amount paid out and will pay the remaining amount to the Venue Owner within 30 days of receiving the request.
If Meetnity closes a Venue Owner’s Account for a reason under Article 3.6, the Venue Owner is likewise entitled to a payout of unused Credit under the previous paragraph; in addition to the administrative fee, Meetnity may also deduct any contractual penalty under Article 3.8 from the amount paid out. The Venue Owner is not entitled to a payout of unused Credit only if Meetnity closed their Account due to proven fraudulent conduct or repeated circumvention of Credit payment under Article 3.8.
Article 6. Venue Owners, Boost and Photo Licence
6.1 When creating a Venue profile, the Venue Owner must provide in particular: name, description, photos, capacity, location, available amenities, types of events the Venue is suitable to host, indicative hourly price and availability via the booking calendar. The Venue Owner is responsible for the accuracy, completeness and currency of this information.
6.2 Each Venue is subject to approval by Meetnity before it is first published on the Platform, under the procedure in Article 3.3. Subsequent changes to photos in the Venue profile are subject to approval under Article 6.4.5. The Venue Owner may change other profile details (in particular the description, capacity, availability and indicative hourly price under Article 6.1) directly without approval; they are responsible for their accuracy, completeness and currency under Article 6.1.
6.3 If a Venue Owner’s Credit falls below the value corresponding to the price of an Inquiry in the lowest category under the current Price List, Meetnity will notify the Venue Owner in advance by email and by a notice on the Platform, recommending a Credit top-up. If Credit falls to zero, the Venue profile remains displayed on the Platform as usual; however, Inquiries for it cannot be accepted without sufficient Credit under Article 5.3 until the Venue Owner tops up Credit.
6.4 Photo licence
6.4.1 By uploading a photo (“Content”) to the Venue profile, the Venue Owner declares and warrants that they are the author of such Content or hold all necessary consents and permissions (in particular from the author, the photographer and the persons depicted in the Content) for its use as described in this Article, and that such use does not infringe the rights of any third party. The Venue Owner undertakes not to upload photos showing identifiable natural persons unless they hold their demonstrable consent to the display of the Content also for marketing purposes under Article 6.4.2(b).
6.4.2 By uploading Content, the Venue Owner grants Meetnity a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to use the Content, in particular (a) to display it on the Venue profile on the Platform and (b) to use it for Meetnity’s marketing purposes, for example in paid advertising (Google, Meta and other networks), in newsletters, on social media channels operated by Meetnity and in Meetnity’s promotional materials and presentations. The licence includes the right to make technical or graphic adjustments to the Content (e.g. cropping, changing the resolution), but not the right to fundamentally change its meaning.
6.4.3 The licence under Article 6.4.2 is non-exclusive; the Venue Owner may continue to use the same Content outside the Platform, for example on their own website or social media.
6.4.4 The licence for marketing use of the Content under Article 6.4.2(b) continues after the Venue profile or the Venue Owner’s Account is closed. The display of the Content directly on the Venue profile on the Platform ends when the profile is closed.
6.4.5 The Venue Owner may change, add or remove individual photos in their profile at any time. Each such change is subject to approval by Meetnity, which will usually decide on it within 48 hours of the change; until approval, the original, most recently approved Content is displayed on the profile.
6.4.6 If the Venue Owner breaches the declaration under Article 6.4.1, they are liable to Meetnity for any damage it suffers as a result, including the costs of defending against third-party claims.
6.5 By deducting Credit from their Credit balance, the Venue Owner may activate the add-on profile highlighting service (Boost) for the period and number of Credits stated in the current Price List. Boost mainly affects the Venue’s position in search results and its visual highlighting; a Venue with an active Boost is visibly marked in search results with a badge that makes it clear to the Customer that it is a paid service. Boost does not renew automatically; it expires at the end of the prepaid period and must be activated and paid for again for the next period. Meetnity will inform the Venue Owner by email in advance that the prepaid period is about to end.
6.6 Meetnity acts solely as an intermediary for Inquiries between the Customer and the Venue Owner. Meetnity’s role is to enable the parties, after an Inquiry has been accepted, to contact each other and agree on the terms and date of the event directly through the Platform. Meetnity is not a party to any agreement on the rental of a Venue or the holding of an event concluded between the Customer and the Venue Owner on the basis of an Inquiry; such an agreement is concluded exclusively between the Customer and the Venue Owner, outside the Platform. Meetnity is therefore not responsible in particular for: (a) the holding, course, quality or safety of the event itself or the compliance of the Venue with applicable legislation (e.g. fire safety, hygiene regulations, liability insurance), (b) compliance with the agreed terms, date, price or cancellation terms by the Venue Owner or the Customer, or (c) any damage arising in connection with holding the event at the Venue or with the arrangement between the Customer and the Venue Owner. The Customer and the Venue Owner shall assert all claims related to the above exclusively against each other. The Venue Owner is responsible for ensuring that the Venue meets all legal requirements applicable to its operation, in particular fire, hygiene and safety regulations, and that they properly fulfil their tax and social security obligations related to renting it through the Platform. If a third party asserts a claim against Meetnity related to holding an event at the Venue or to the Venue Owner’s failure to fulfil any of these obligations, the Venue Owner shall compensate Meetnity for the damage and reasonably incurred costs it suffers in this connection.
6.7 The Venue Owner may set up an automatic welcome message, which is sent to the Customer via the internal chat after an Inquiry is accepted. The Venue Owner is responsible for the content of this message.
6.8 The ranking of Venues in search results on the Platform is determined mainly by the following parameters, listed in decreasing order of importance: (a) how well the Venue’s parameters match the Customer’s search criteria, in particular capacity, location, event type and availability on the requested date, (b) an active Boost under Article 6.5, which is a paid add-on service and demonstrably improves the Venue’s position in search results, a Venue with an active Boost being marked with a badge under Article 6.5, (c) the completeness of the Venue profile and the number and rating of its reviews, and (d) the rate and speed of the Venue Owner’s response to delivered Inquiries. When determining the ranking, Meetnity does not give preferential treatment to any Venue that it owns or controls.
6.9 In their Account, the Venue Owner has access to data on Inquiries delivered to them, including the Customer’s contact details made available after acceptance of an Inquiry under Article 4.5, and to basic statistics related to their profile (in particular the number of delivered and accepted Inquiries). Meetnity does not provide this or other data generated by the use of the Platform to third parties beyond the scope of Article 11 of these Terms and the Privacy and Cookie Policy.
Article 7. Special Provisions for Customers
7.1 The Customer may create and send Inquiries to the extent and under the conditions set out in Articles 4 and 5 of these Terms.
7.2 The Customer undertakes not to establish direct contact with the Venue Owner in connection with a specific Inquiry in order to agree on rental terms outside the Platform before the Venue Owner accepts that Inquiry. A breach of this obligation is considered a material breach of these Terms and entitles Meetnity to suspend or close the Customer’s Account under the procedure in Article 3.6.
7.3 The Customer undertakes to respond to communication from the Venue Owner within a reasonable time. Failure to comply with this obligation does not in itself entitle the Venue Owner to a refund of Credit, compensation for damage or any other sanction against the Customer.
7.4 After the event, the Customer may rate the Venue by means of a review published on its profile. A review may only be published by a Customer whose Inquiry was demonstrably accepted by the Venue concerned under Article 4.5; the Platform thereby ensures that published reviews come from Customers who actually communicated with the Venue through the Platform. The Customer undertakes that the review will be truthful, will reflect their actual experience and will not contain offensive, defamatory, discriminatory or otherwise unlawful content. The Customer is responsible for the content of the review; Meetnity may remove or refuse to publish a review that breaches these Terms or the law.
7.5 The Customer’s rights and obligations in the event of cancellation or expiry of an Inquiry are governed by Article 4.9.
Article 8. Special Provisions for Event Agencies
8.1 The provisions of Article 7 apply accordingly to Event Agencies, with the exceptions set out in this Article.
8.2 An Inquiry sent by an Event Agency is visibly marked on the Platform with the “Agency” label.
8.3 The free Inquiry limit and the prices of paid Inquiry packages for Event Agencies are set out in the current Price List and differ from the terms for regular Customers under Articles 5.6 and 5.8.
8.4 Meetnity may at any time verify the accuracy of the information provided by an Event Agency when applying for the status (in particular the existence of the business entity). If a discrepancy or false information is found, Meetnity may close the Event Agency’s Account under the procedure in Article 3.6.
Article 9. Complaints
9.1 Inquiry complaints (Venue Owner)
9.1.1 If a technical problem on the Platform’s side occurs when an Inquiry is accepted, in particular an incorrect deduction of Credit or another system error, the Venue Owner may contact Meetnity at help@meetnity.com. Meetnity will assess the matter individually and, if justified, will return the deducted Credit to the Venue Owner’s Account by crediting it under Article 5.10.
9.1.2 As the Venue Owner acts towards Meetnity as a business, remedy under this Article 9.1 is provided exclusively in the form of a Credit refund; the Venue Owner is not entitled to a refund of money.
9.2 Complaints about paid services (Customer as a consumer)
9.2.1 If a Customer who is a consumer purchases a paid service (in particular an Inquiry package under Article 5.8) and this service is defective (e.g. an incorrect number of Inquiries credited, a technical error in providing the service), they have the right to file a complaint about the defect under Act No. 108/2024 Coll. on Consumer Protection and on Amendments to Certain Acts (the “Consumer Protection Act”).
9.2.2 The Customer may file a complaint at help@meetnity.com. Without delay after the complaint is filed, Meetnity will issue the Customer a written confirmation of its receipt, stating a specific deadline for handling it; this deadline may not exceed 30 days from the date the complaint was filed. Meetnity will handle the complaint, including remedying the defect, within the deadline so determined.
9.2.3 If the complaint is upheld and the defect cannot be remedied, the Customer is entitled to a refund of the amount paid, back to the payment method used for the payment via GoPay, or in another way agreed by the parties.
9.2.4 The right to file a complaint under this Article does not cover the fact that the Venue Owner did not respond to the Inquiry, declined it, or that the Inquiry did not result in an agreement to rent the Venue; these circumstances are not a defect in Meetnity’s service, as Meetnity does not guarantee the outcome of an Inquiry (Article 6.6).
9.2.5 Article 9.2 does not apply to Venue Owners or Event Agencies, as they do not act towards Meetnity as consumers.
Article 10. Withdrawal from the Contract
10.1 A Customer who is a consumer is entitled, in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act, to withdraw from a distance contract concluded with Meetnity within 14 days of its conclusion, without giving a reason.
10.2 The right of withdrawal under this Article does not apply to Venue Owners or Event Agencies, as they do not act towards Meetnity as consumers.
10.3 The Customer may also exercise the right of withdrawal under Article 10.1 via the electronic withdrawal form available in their Account settings on the Platform in accordance with Section 20a of the Consumer Protection Act, or by using the model withdrawal form set out in Article 16 of these Terms; the use of either form is not a condition for a valid withdrawal. Meetnity will confirm receipt of the withdrawal to the Customer on a durable medium (by email) without delay.
10.4 The button with which the Customer completes an order for a paid service on the Platform is labelled with text clearly indicating that placing the order entails an obligation to pay the price (in particular “Order with obligation to pay” or equivalent wording). After the order is completed, Meetnity will send the Customer an email confirmation without delay, stating the subject of the purchase, the price and the date the contract was concluded.
Article 11. Personal Data Protection, Cookies and Confidentiality
11.1 The processing of Users’ personal data in connection with the use of the Platform, including the legal basis, scope, purpose and retention period, is governed by the separate Privacy and Cookie Policy, available at www.meetnity.com/ochrana-osobnych-udajov, which forms an integral part of the contractual relationship between the User and Meetnity (Article 1.4).
11.2 The following tools in particular are deployed on the Platform for analytical, marketing and technical purposes: Google Analytics 4, Google Ads, Google Tag Manager and the Meta (Facebook, Instagram) Pixel; details of their use are set out in the Privacy and Cookie Policy. Payments on the Platform are processed by the GoPay payment gateway (Article 5.4) and phone number verification is provided by the BulkGate SMS verification gateway (Article 3.2). Other details on the scope of data processed, recipients and retention periods are set out in the Privacy and Cookie Policy.
11.3 Confidentiality. Meetnity and the other contracting party (Venue Owner, Customer or Event Agency) undertake to keep confidential all information they learn about each other in connection with the use of the Platform that is not publicly available, in particular: (a) the other party’s business, financial and operational data (e.g. statistics, turnover, individually agreed terms), (b) Users’ personal data that the party concerned learns while using the Platform (e.g. the content of the internal chat, contact details made available after acceptance of an Inquiry), and not to disclose them to any third party or use them contrary to the purpose for which they were provided.
11.4 The confidentiality obligation does not apply to information that: (a) is or becomes publicly available other than through a breach of this obligation, (b) must be disclosed under generally binding legislation or a decision of a public authority, or (c) was demonstrably known to the other party before it was provided.
11.5 The confidentiality obligation continues after the Account is closed or the contractual relationship between the User and Meetnity ends.
Article 12. Liability for Damage and Dispute Resolution
12.1 Meetnity is liable to a User who is not a consumer (i.e. Venue Owners and Event Agencies) for damage caused by a breach of obligations under these Terms only if it was caused intentionally or through gross negligence on the part of Meetnity.
12.2 The parties have agreed that, taking into account the nature of the Services, the amount of the fee and the allocation of risks, for the purposes of Section 379 of the Commercial Code the foreseeable damage that a Venue Owner or Event Agency may suffer as a result of a breach of Meetnity’s obligations is an amount corresponding to the fee that the User concerned demonstrably paid to Meetnity for Credit top-ups in the 2 months preceding the event that led to the damage; this amount also represents the maximum compensation for damage that Meetnity is obliged to pay in that case. The existence of multiple claims does not increase this limit. The limitation under this Article does not apply to damage caused intentionally, to damage to health, or to cases where the law does not permit it. Should any limitation under Article 12.1 or this Article 12.2 prove invalid or unenforceable, it shall apply to the widest extent permitted by law.
12.3 Articles 12.1 and 12.2 do not apply to Meetnity’s liability towards a Customer who is a consumer; towards consumers, Meetnity is liable for damage to the extent provided by generally binding legislation.
12.4 Meetnity is not responsible for the uninterrupted availability and error-free operation of the Platform, nor for damage resulting from its temporary unavailability, outage or technical maintenance, unless caused intentionally or through gross negligence on the part of Meetnity.
12.5 Force majeure. Neither Meetnity nor the User is liable for failure to fulfil obligations under these Terms caused by circumstances excluding liability (force majeure), i.e. an extraordinary, unforeseeable and unavoidable event beyond their control, in particular a state of war, natural disaster, large-scale internet or power outage, epidemic or pandemic, or a decision of a public authority. The party affected must inform the other party of such circumstances without undue delay and make reasonable efforts to mitigate their consequences; once the circumstances cease, the parties shall resume fulfilling their obligations without undue delay.
12.6 In the event of a dispute, the User may first contact Meetnity with a request for redress at help@meetnity.com. If the dispute is not resolved by mutual agreement, a Customer who is a consumer is entitled, under Act No. 391/2015 Coll. on Alternative Dispute Resolution of Consumer Disputes, to submit a proposal for out-of-court dispute resolution to an alternative dispute resolution body registered in the list maintained by the Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic (list available at www.economy.gov.sk), in particular the Slovak Trade Inspection, SOI Inspectorate for the Bratislava Region, Bajkalská 21/A, P. O. BOX 5, 820 07 Bratislava 27 (www.soi.sk). In a cross-border dispute, the Customer may also contact the European Consumer Centre in the Slovak Republic (www.europskyspotrebitel.sk).
12.7 These Terms and all relationships arising from them are governed by the laws of the Slovak Republic. The courts of the Slovak Republic have jurisdiction to resolve disputes. This does not affect the consumer’s rights arising from the mandatory provisions of the law of the country of their habitual residence.
Article 13. Intellectual Property
13.1 The Platform, including its source code, software, design, graphic elements, the structure of the database of Venues and Inquiries, texts, logos and other content created or published by Meetnity itself (“Meetnity Content”), is a copyright work or other protected subject matter under Act No. 185/2015 Coll. (Copyright Act), as amended, in respect of which all economic rights are exercised exclusively by Meetnity. The database of Venues and Inquiries operated by Meetnity additionally enjoys the special protection of a database maker under the Copyright Act, provided it meets the statutory conditions.
13.2 Copyright in Meetnity Content arises for Meetnity by law upon the mere creation of the work and is not conditional on any registration. A trademark is a separate and voluntary form of protection of a designation (for example the name, logo or other designation of Meetnity), the registration of which with the Industrial Property Office of the Slovak Republic or another competent office provides additional protection against its unauthorized use by third parties. Meetnity’s designations are protected under the Copyright Act and trademark legislation.
13.3 The User may not copy, modify, reverse engineer (decompile), extract data from by automated means (scraping) or otherwise deal with Meetnity Content or the Platform as a whole beyond the normal use of the Platform for its intended purposes without Meetnity’s prior written consent.
13.4 This Article does not affect the licence to photos uploaded by the Venue Owner under Article 6.4 of these Terms, the copyright in which remains with the Venue Owner or a third party under Article 6.4.1.
Article 14. Prohibited Content and Content Moderation
14.1 The User may not publish or otherwise make available through the Platform, in particular in a Venue profile, in photos, in reviews or in the internal chat, any content that: (a) is contrary to generally binding legislation, in particular content infringing intellectual property rights, personality rights or data protection legislation, (b) is offensive, defamatory, discriminatory, vulgar or otherwise harassing, (c) is deceptive or misleading, in particular a false review or false information about a Venue, (d) promotes violence, hatred towards a group of people or illegal activity, or (e) contains malware, spam or unsolicited advertising (“Prohibited Content”).
14.2 Meetnity may refuse to publish, remove or reduce the visibility of Prohibited Content, even without prior notice, where required to protect the rights of third parties, to comply with Meetnity’s legal obligations or due to the urgency of the matter; in other cases Meetnity proceeds under Article 14.4.
14.3 Anyone may report to Meetnity content they believe to be Prohibited Content or otherwise unlawful, via the reporting form available next to the relevant content on the Platform or by email to help@meetnity.com, with a sufficient description and justification of the report and an indication of where the content is located. Meetnity will assess the report and inform the person who submitted it of the outcome without undue delay, provided they have given their contact details.
14.4 If, as a result of Prohibited Content or its reporting, Meetnity removes content, reduces its visibility, or suspends or restricts a User’s Account, it will inform the User concerned of this measure and the reasons for it, including the provision of these Terms or the legislation that was breached, no later than the moment the measure takes effect, unless prevented by law or by the interest in detecting or preventing unlawful conduct. The User may lodge an objection to such a measure at help@meetnity.com.
14.5 Meetnity’s point of contact for public authorities and for Users in matters under this Article is the email address help@meetnity.com; communication takes place in Slovak or English.
14.6 The provisions of this Article do not affect Meetnity’s other rights under Articles 3.6 and 7.4 of these Terms.
Article 15. Final Provisions
15.1 These Terms take effect on 28 September 2026.
15.2 Changes to these Terms are made in the manner set out in Article 1.5.
15.3 Annex No. 1: Price List forms an integral part of these Terms.
15.4 If any provision of these Terms becomes invalid or unenforceable, this does not affect the validity of the other provisions. The invalid provision shall be replaced by a provision whose meaning comes as close as possible to that of the invalid provision.
15.5 Communication between Meetnity and the User takes place electronically, in particular via the email address provided upon registration and via the Account on the Platform, unless these Terms provide otherwise for a specific act.
15.6 For any questions related to these Terms, the User may contact Meetnity at help@meetnity.com.
15.7 Meetnity may assign the rights and transfer the obligations under these Terms, as well as the entire contractual relationship with the User, to a third party, in particular in connection with the transfer of the business or part of it, a merger, amalgamation or division of Meetnity, or the transfer of the operation of the Platform. The User consents to such assignment and transfer in advance within the meaning of Sections 524 et seq. and 531 et seq. of the Civil Code. The User will be informed of it at least 15 days before it takes effect and may, before it takes effect, close their Account and request a payout of unused Credit under Article 5.13, without an administrative fee.
15.8 Meetnity may discontinue the operation of the Platform with at least 3 months’ notice on the Platform and by email to Users with an active Account.
